Laptops For Kids| Teaching your kids about laptops when they're young

Laptops for kids are now a reality. Just a few years ago, children were a laptop’s worst enemy; today, parent’s are encouraging their kids to use their own laptops – whether it’s their old obsolete laptops or the new batch of low cost mini laptops such as Asus’ Eee PC. We simply can’t afford our kids not to be computer literate since the start and this is a great time to get laptops for kids.

So, letting your toddlers learn their way with a laptop is a must; but you don’t need to buy the latest 17” gaming laptop for that. In fact, even a low cost refurbished laptop is more than enough for that. You don’t even need to spend money buying a Windows license for it – there are lots of educational Linux distributions you can use for free, coming with educational software that will keep your children occupied for a long time. And when they get old enough to use the internet… then you’ll never have to worry about getting new content again.

Lots of friends have bought low cost mini laptops for their children. In fact, after buying some Eee PCs for their children, most of them have bough Eee PCs for them as well – as these "laptops for kids" are amazing laptops that can do most of the work we use our “big” laptops for; but are a lot smaller and easier to carry around. So, instead of buying a single laptop for your kid, maybe you should consider buying one for yourself as well.
